It’s already reported that the Turkish Federation is examining the cases of Brad Wanamaker (Fenerbahce) and Scottie Wilbekin (Darussafaka Basketball) when it comes to who is going to succeed Dixon. And the latter feels up for the job.

Wilbekin admits that this kind of potential offer would interest him greatly and he wouldn’t say no if such a proposal arrived.

“I didn’t get any official offer yet. But I would love to play for Turkey. I’ve been here for 3 years. I feel almost at home here. It would be an easy decision for me,” Wilbekin told Eurohoops.

The 24-year-old American combo guard has been playing in Turkey since October 2015, when he joined Dacka.

Last season he had the best season of his career so far under David Blatt. He averaged 11.6 points, 3.2 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game in EuroLeague while Darussafaka made it to the playoffs for the first time in the franchise’s history.
