Furkan Korkmaz was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the first-round, 26th pick of the 2016 Draft and after spending the previous season in Europe, he’s ready for the NBA jump.
At least that’s what his agent, Misko Raznatovic hinted on Twitter, with a message written in… perfect Turkish.
76'ers taraftarlarinin daha fazla Turk birasi icmek icin bir sebebi var! #BeoBasket #IstBasket

“76ers fans now have all the more reason to drink more Turkish beer,” is the translation of Raznatovic’s tweet.
Eurohoops sources have informed us that Anadolu Efes is indeed negotiating with the Philadelphia 76ers for the details of the Turkish swingman’s release. Korkmaz’s buy-out is $2 million.
The 19-year-old player began the season with Efes but was loaned to Banvit on December to see more minutes on the floor. With the team from Bandirma, Korkmaz averaged 10.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in the Basketball Champions League, helping his squad reach the Final and being named “Best Young Player” of the competition in the process.
In Philadelphia, the Turkish player will reunite with 2017 All-Rookie First Team member Dario Saric, who was Korkmaz’s teammate in Efes from 2014 to 2016.
