Kostas Papanikolaou will finish the season at Denver, as Eurohoops can confirm. The Denver Nuggets decided to pick up his option and extend the contract until the summer.
Papanikolaou’s deal includes a team option also for next season and it remains to be seen how things will play out. Denver had until the 10th of January to decide where the season would end for “Pap”, but the decision is already made. The Greek forward was cut by Denver on October after his trade from Houston, having a 4,8 millions dollars contract and he was re-signed later in the season by the same team with a minimum deal (800.320$).
