Three teams that are going to compete in next season’s Eurocup completed some interesting moves.
German center Tim Ohlbrecht returns to Ratiopharm Ulm for which he played in 2014/2015, signing a contract for the next two seasons. He comes from Enisey, with which he scored 11.3 points and grabbed 5.2 rebounds per game in 29 appearances in highly competitive VTB League. An international with his country’s national team, Ohbrecht has been a German League (2007 with Brose Baskets) and D-League (with Rio Grande in 2013 and Fort Wayne in 2014) champion.
Unicaja Malaga agreed to a three-year contract extension with Alberto Diaz. The 22-year old Spanish point guard averaged 2.2 points and 1.2 assists last year in Euroleague. “Extending my contract for three more years brings me great joy”, he said. “It is very important for me to see that the club trusts me. I am very happy, looking forward to starting a new season at home, in my club, with my people. It is a dream come true.”
Meanwhile, AEK announced the addition of 18-year old forward Dionisis Skoulidas who was European champion with the Greek U18 national team last year in Volos.
