It is no secret that Fenerbahce fans absolutely adore Ekpe Udoh. The American player has absolutely embraced the fans’ love for him while also showing a great interest to all things that have to do with the club.
After Game 3 of the Finals against Anadolu Efes, a young friend of Fenerbahce waited for Udoh in the parking lot of “Ulker Arena”. The reason? To give his favorite team’s big guy a note, written in English, in which he asks him to stay in Fenerbahce with a really sweet message.
Udoh’s contract expires at the end of the Turkish playoffs and after his highly impressive debut season in Euroleague, he is going to be one of the hottest free agents in the continent. Of course, there’s always the possibility of a return to the NBA. And when such an opportunity appears, it is rarely declined.
Fenerbahce fans have already begun a campaign on twitter with the hashtag #staywithusEkpe, while the club’s team manager, Omer Onan said that “Udoh won’t play for any other team in Europe”.
