Λίγες εβδομάδες μετά την επικράτηση των Γκόλντεν Στέιτ Ουόριορς σε βάρος των Χιούστον Ρόκετς στους τελικούς της δυτικής περιφέρειας της κορυφαίας λίγκας του κόσμου, ο 30άχρονος πλέι μέικερ των “πολεμιστών” κέρδισε ξανά τον πλέι μέικερ των “ρουκετών”, αυτή τη φορά με τη βοήθεια της οικογένειάς του. Μάλιστα, ο Κάρι και η σύζυγός του συνέχισαν στον τελικό και κέρδισαν χρηματικό έπαθλο ύψους 25.000 δολαρίων, που διέθεσαν υπέρ φιλανθρωπικού σκοπού.
