Ο “βασιλιάς” μετά το παιχνίδι των Λέικερς με τους Χόρνετς στο “Στέιπλς Σέντερ” επέστρεψε στο σπίτι του, αλλά όχι για πολύ, αφού αναγκάστηκε να το εγκαταλείψει, όπως και πολλές χιλιάδες άνθρωποι, ώστε να μην τεθεί σε κίνδυνο η σωματική τους ακεραιότητα από τις εστίες της πυρκαγιάς που μαίνεται στην περιοχή.
Μάλιστα ο ΛεΜπρον ενημέρωσε για την περιπέτειά του μέσω twitter, αφού αναζήτησε μέρος για να πάει με την οικογένειά του, το οποίο αρχικά δεν έβρισκε, αφού έχουν εκκενωθεί χιλιάδες σπίτια.
