Round 5 of ABA League featured one matchup less this week after Buducnost Voli announced to have found COVID-19 positives in the team. Their game vs. Cedevita Olimpija has been postponed.
Crvena Zvezda mts went up 5-0, while Buducnost remained at 4-0. Igokea stands at 4-1.
Mornar Bar – Mega Soccerbet 80-73
Mornar recovered from last week’s defeat to take down Mega at home. Kenny Gabriel led the winners with 24 points, as Isaiah Whitehead posted 17 points along with 8 assists. Jacob Pullen and Nemanja Vranjes completed the list of top scorers with 12 and 11 points respectively.
Filip Petrusev and Marko Simonovic were the only two players for Mega to end the game in double figures, adding 29 and 20 points each.
Igokea – Partizan 90-84 (ΟΤ)
It took an extra five-minute period for Igokea to extend its streak to four games after being Partizan. Jackie Carmichael led the winning side with 27 points and Antabia Waller tapped 17 points.
Nemanja Gordic was the leading scorer for Partizan with 19 points and Rade Zagorac tapped 17 points.
Cibona Zagreb – Koper Primorska 91-50
Cibona destroyed Koper Primoska to capture its second win in a row behind Josip Bilinovac ABA League career-high 21 points. Kresimir Radovcic and Lovro Gnjidic added 11 points apiece.
Urban Dunrik (13 points), Jurij Macura (12 points) and Erjon Kastrati (12 points) scored in double figures for Primorska.
Zadar – Split 66-72
In an all-Croatian classic, Split captured its first road win over Zadar after 18 years thanks to strong defense and Marko Lukovic’s 18 points and five rebounds. Dominic Gilbert had 13 points for Zadar.
Crvena Zvezda mts – Krka 88-62
Ognjen Dobric led the charge for the win by a wide margin bumping in 14 points. Corey Walden produced 13 of his own.
The losing side saw Bosnian Adin Vrabac finishing with 13 points.
FMP – Borac Cacak 93-87
A late 11-0 run pushed the hosts to snap a three-game losing streak. Marko Radonjic connected for five threes on his way to a game-high 23 points.
Radovan Djokovic and Bryce Jones put up 15 points each for the losing side.
