Crvena Zvezda beat Zadar 90 – 70 on the road and clinched the first place in the 2020-21 ABA League regular season.
Corey Walden (16 points, six assists, four steals), Ognjen Dobric (16 points) and Jordan Loyd (16 points) led the offensive efforts of Zvezda towards a comfortable win. Red Star stormed into the game to overpower Zadar 36 – 18 in the first period and stayed in control for the rest of the match.
Justin Carter scored 13 points and Antonio Giordano had 11 points for Zadar that finishes the season at the 10th spot.
The ABA regular season got concluded with the clashes between Igokea – Mornar Bar and Cedevita Olimpija – Mega Soccerbet which also decided who grabbed the last remaining playoff spot.
The winner of that race was Mornar as they beat the already-qualified Igokea 88-79 and left no hope for Cedevita Olimpija which managed to get an 85-79 comeback win over Mega.
With all the participants known, the Final Four matchups are as follows:
Crvena Zvezda – Igokea
Buducnost – Mornar
Semifinals will be played in the best-of-three format, while the Finals take on the best-of-five format. The 2021 ABA League champion will gain a spot in the upcoming EuroLeague.
