Ognjen Dobric stepped up with 27 points to lead Crvena Zvezda to an 85-79 victory over Buducnost in Game 2 of the ABA League finals on Tuesday. Zvezda now only needs one win to lift this season’s trophy, as Game 3 tips off Saturday, May 22.
Adding up to Dobric’s efforts, Jordan Loyd posted 16 points and 6 assists, Landry Nnoko had 15 points and Marko Simonovic added 10.
Buducnost managed to erase a 55-41 deficit by halftime and take the lead in the third period, though couldn’t complete the comeback in the end.
Danilo Nikolic led all scorers for the Podgorica side with 26 points, 8 rebounds, Justin Cobbs added 14, while Melvin Ejim and Nikola Ivanovic both had 12 points.
