Nikola Pekovic was unanimously elected today as the new president of Partizan’s basketball club, as it’s officially announced. Pekovic was the only candidate so this is the natural course of events.
An other former player of Partizan, Miroslav Beric, was elected as the new vice president and he will manage day to day activities and act as the president during the absence of Pekovic, who is the starting center of Minnesota Timberwolves and his election is also symbolical. The next elections will be held after five years.
