After the recent loss in the ABA League to archrival Crvena Zvezda, Partizan bounced back with a 75-66 home win against another title-contender Buducnost.
Partizan improved to an 8-1 record and is momentarily topping the standings while Buducnost holds a 6-3 record.
The black-and-white had an upper hand throughout the game but Buducnost managed to stay close and it wasn’t until the 11-0 run for Partizan (69-56) after the five-minute mark that the winner was clear.
Alen Smailagic was a big part of the winning effort with 20 points while Aleksa Avramovic followed with 17. Avramovic also fished five assists and made as many as six steals.
Gregor Glas added 12 and Zach LeDay 11 points. For Buducnost, DJ Seeley banked in game-high 21 points while Justin Cobbs scored 16 and Vladimir Micov 11 points.
