After a close defeat against Anadolu Efes in Euroleague by the hands of Vasilije Micic in the final seconds, Crvena Zvezda bounced back with a 98-74 win over FMP in ABA League, stopping the latter’s five-game winning streak.
Nikola Ivanovic paced the victors with an all-around display that totaled to a PIR of 29. He scored 18 points while also adding five assists, four rebounds, two steals, and drawing six fouls.
Maik Zirbes helped with 12 points followed by Stefan Markovic and Luka Mitrovic with ten each. On FMP’s side, Bryce Jones scored 17 (plus seven assists) and Danilo Tasic 12 points.
With this win, Zvezda improved to 12-1 at the top of the standings. FMP, which has been on an impressive run so far this season, perhaps the best in its history, now holds a 10-3 record at number two.
