Crvena Zvezda faced tough opposition against Cibona which put on a big fight but the final score of 78-74 went to Zvezda’s favor.
Cibona bounced back multiple times throughout the game and did so in the fourth quarter as well but Crvena Zvezda managed to hold on. Ognjen Dobric made sure that’s the case with five points in the last minute including the dagger three to seal the deal.
Dobric finished the game with 14 points with Nikol Kalinic 14 as well while Nate Wolters scored 12 in addition to Nikola Ivanovic and Luka Mitrovic’s 11 points each. Mitrovic also grabbed ten rebounds.
For Cibona, Amar Gegic logged 19 points, seven boards, five assists while Danko Brankov had 17 and Toni Nakic 16 points.
With this win, Zvezda improved to 19-2 and is currently second in the ABA League standings behind Partizan which played one game more and has the same number of wins (19-3).
