No surprises in ABA league. Crvena Zvezda and Partizan got wins in their matches. The black and wight snapped their four-game losing streak as Buducnost stood no chance against Zeljko Obradovic‘s squad 106-77.
Partizan scored 53 points in the first half alone and got the job done. Again Partizan demonstrates a lethal offense, but there were some defensive issues that got to be ironed out before the big game against Crvena Zvezda on Thursday.
Partizan played a great team offense. Tristan Vukcevic scored 15 points, Yam Madar added 14.
The extent to which Duško Ivanovic has changed the image at Crvena Zvezda is best shown by tonight’s game. Less than two days after the victory over Virtus in the Euroleague, the red and whites visited the Student Center team in Podgorica. The home team was visibly motivated, played without too much respect for the defender of the throne, and held on until the last part. And then Stefan Lazarevic appeared out of the blue and knocked out the Students with threes – 92:76.
Crvena Zvezda’s seventh straight win since Ivanovic’s arrival. They continued a great streak and made an ideal prelude to the historic derby with Partizan Mozzart Beta in the Euroleague.
Nemanja Nedović was the most effective in Zvezda with 16 points.
