Coming back in the second half (58-33) from a 14-point deficit, Partizan Belgrade crushed Crvena Zvezda at home 92-81, winning the fifth Belgrade derby of the season between the two sides.
Mathias Lessort was unstoppable under the basket for the black-and-white team, putting up 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 14 fouls drawn in 30:40 minutes. Zach LeDay and Dante Exum followed combining for 32 points.
On the losing side, Facundo Campazzo was ruled out for 5 fouls after 25:33 minutes on the court in which he had 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Luka Mitrovic had 17 points, while Luca Vildoza scored only 8 while struggling from the arc (1/7).
Partizan fans, as officially announced by ABA League, set the newest highest-attendance record for a single game in the competition with a total number of 17.124 spectators in the Stark Arena.
This is the second victory Partizan Belgrade against Dusko Ivanovic’s team in the 2022-23 season following the EuroLeague clash on the road. The red-and-white side won the other three encounters between EuroLeague, ABA League, and Serbian Cup.
