The former center of Partizan and the Sacramento Kings, Vlade Divac made a surprise appearance at the black and with squad practice wishing the team all the luck in the upcoming semifinals of the ABA league
Divac apostrophized the arrival of Zeljko Obradovic as a key thing for Partizan, his former club.
“As soon as Zeljko Obradovic returned and when Zoran Savic came to Partizan, I knew that he would go on an upward trajectory. Reaching the threshold of the final four is a great success, by no means a failure. I hope that he will finish this season victorious, that’s why we are here, to support the team,” said Divac for club television.
Also, the legendary former basketball player and former general manager of the Sacramento Kings told younger players that they should not rush to go to the NBA league.
“I am not a supporter of the NBA taking what is not ready for the NBA. But that is the system. Young players should stay in their home clubs as long as possible, especially with coaches like Zeljko Obradovic.”
French center Mathias Lessort has found himself in the ideal five of the Euroleague for this season, just as Divac once did in the Partizan jersey.
“He found an ideal team. He positioned himself well. What Partizan lacked, he made up for it this year and I hope that Partizan will have opportunities to keep him,” said Divac.
