Both Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and Partizan Mozzart Bet jumped to 2-0 at the top of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season on Sunday.
The comfortable win for Crvena Zvezda was at the expense of Cedevita Olimpija at Stark Arena. Guided by experienced tactician Dusko Ivanovic, the Zvezda stopped at 94-51 in Round 2 of the regional league.
Nemanja Nedovic registered 17 points and four assists. Shabazz Napier packed up 15 points to go with five steals and five assists. Mike Tobey chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds. Stefan Lazarevic, Milos Teodosic, and Ognjen Kuzmic were not featured in the lineup. For the team coached by Simone Pianigiani, Amadou Sow tallied a game-high 19 points.
Earlier, Partizan routed Krka, 96-56, in Leon Stukelj Hall. Fueling one-sided traffic in Novo Mesto, Aleksa Avramovic registered 15 points to go with six rebounds, two assists, and one steal. In the remaining double-digit scoring efforts, Balsa Koprivica chipped in 12 points and P.J. Dozier finished with 11 points. The game-high of 16 points belonged to Miha Cerkvenik of the hosts.
At a safe distance, Zeljko Obradovic spread the action among available players. Mateusz Ponitka sat out.
