Partizan Mozzart Bet had previously lost three games in a row in both competitions, surprisingly falling to Zadar in the previous round of the ABA League.
Zeljko Obradovic’s team bounced back with a convincing victory in the regional competition, defeating Mornar in Bar with a score of 76-98, improving to 10-4 in the standings.
Danilo Andjusic led the way with 14 points, Balsa Koprivica and Tristan Vukcevic added 11 each, while James Nunnally also finished in double digits with 10 points.
Seven more players added their names to the scoring sheet for Partizan, with former ALBA Berlin and Virtus Bologna guard Jaleen Smith debuting in the black and white jersey with eight points and four assists.
Marcus Weathers scored 17 points with nine rebounds for the losing side, Anthony Lewis added 15 points, while Alex Gavrilovic scored 10, as Mornar fell to 1-13, staying at the bottom of the standings.
Crvena Zvezda stays firm at the top
In a similar manner to their arch-rivals, Crvena Zvezda also secured victory, cruising past Igokea at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall with a final score of 80-48.
Ioannis Sfairopoulos’ side remained at the top of the Adriatic League, improving their score to 13-1, while Igokea, after dropping out from the Basketball Champions League, lost for the fifth straight time, falling to 9-5 in the standings.
Zvezda also had 11 players on the scoring sheet, with Mike Tobey leading the way with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Dejan Davidovac was a rebound shy of a double-double with 10 points. Nikola Topic registered his first performance since returning from the loan to Mega and scored eight points, with five assists.
