Crvena Zvezda crushed bottom-placed Krka Novo Mesto 110 – 57 to improve its ABA League record to 19 – 3 and get closer to securing first place in the regular season.
Javonte Smart scored 24 points on 8-10 shots for Zvezda while Yago dos Santos provided 20 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds. Luka Mitrovic pitched in 19 points for a Red Star team that entered the game with a 31 – 11 lead and never looked back.
Miha Cerkvenik and Jurij Macura dropped nine points apiece for Krka, now 4 – 18.
Crvena Zvezda will now be hosting Maccabi Tel Aviv Thursday (14/3) for Round 24 of the EuroLeague regular season.
