An expansion team, BC Dubai, was confirmed for the 2024-25 installment of the AdmiralBet ABA League.
Home games will be played in Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena.
At the continental level, the team based in the United Arab Emirates is expected to compete in the BKT EuroCup next season. At the regional level, Dubai officially joined the ABA family on Friday.
Per the press release: “According to the decisions made by the Assembly of the ABA League j.t.d. and after the adoption of the agreement by the shareholders, the multi-year contract between BC Dubai and the ABA League j.t.d. has been signed. Therefore all the key elements of the future sports and business cooperation have been defined, starting with the participation of BC Dubai in the AdmiralBet ABA League from the 2024/25 season.
Through intensive and open communication, with strict observance of all internal acts of the ABA League j.t.d, all details of a very ambitious sports-business project were agreed upon. This is the project from which all parties expect great benefits, not just the ABA League j.t.d, its shareholders and BC Dubai, but also the basketball in general.

Firstly, to increase the quality of the competition, and secondly, to open the door to a new market, which will accelerate the ABA League’s efforts to become a league that generates more profitable operations for the benefit of its shareholders.”
