Building a double-digit lead early in the second half and holding on in crunch time, Buducnost VOLI snapped the undefeated streak of Partizan Mozzart Bet in the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season with a win, 97-90, in Belgrade Arena.
Pushing their side to 10-2, McKinley Wright IV and Rasheed Sulaimon shared a team-high 22 points on Sunday. Kenan Kamenjas combined his 14 points with a game-high nine rebounds.
A season-high 23 points by Sterling Brown went to waste for the team guided by Zeljko Obradovic. Besides Gabriel Iffe Lundberg and Mario Nakic stuck on the injury list, Brandon Davies and Frank Ntilikina were also sidelined.
Pulling away in the second half, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet earned a win, 89-81, over SC Derby in Moraca Sports Center. Recovering from a knee injury and featuring in Round 12, Joel Bolomboy tallied four points and two rebounds over ten minutes in his first appearance since October 21.
In a fourth consecutive win in all competitions, the top performer was Yago Dos Santos with 17 points. John Brown III, Branko Lazic, Uros Plavsic, and Milos Teodosic were out for the team coached by Giannis Sfairopoulos.
