Concluding the first half of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season, Partizan Mozzart Bet edged out Mega Superbet, 100-90, in overtime. Winning in Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall on Monday and improving to 13-2 reshaped a three-way tie with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and Buducnost VOLI on top of the standings.
Despite trailing most of the way and falling into a double-digit hole late in the first half, Partizan built an advantage of eight points with just over one minute left in regulation. After squandering the lead, getting the job done in overtime extended a winning streak across all competitions to four games. Duane Washington Jr. paved the way with 19 points and six assists, both team-highs. Tyrique Jones followed with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Signing with Mega ahead of the game, 26-year-old Aleksa Radanov combined his return to action with a clutch three-pointer to force five extra minutes. Lasting 27 minutes in his first game of the 2024-25 season, he piled up ten points, five rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Also settling on the wrong end, Andrija Jelavic posted a 23-point, 14-rebound double-double.
Heading to Round 20 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season and a visit to Panathinaikos Aktor in OAKA Altion on Thursday, Vanja Marinkovic (Achilles) and Mitar Bosnjakovic (ankle) remained on the injury list for the team coached by Zeljko Obradovic.
