Both teams entered this game with a 3-4 record sharing the 10th position on the standings of ABA League. The home crowd gave the extra boost to Mornar as they were able to prevail over Igokea 87-83 at home in a close match The home squad was off to the solid start as they led after the first quarter by 8 (25-17). They kept that lead until the end despite the constant pressure by the visiting team. Igokea was close all the time but they didn’t have enough energy to take over the game.
Derek Needham was unstoppable for the host as he finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists which were enough for 30 in PIR. He had help from Brandis Raley-Ross as he added 14 points.
For the losing side, 18 points by Malcolm Lee were just not enough.
