Crvena Zvezda protected their home against Igokea 85-80 while improving their record to 8-2.
Taylor Rochestie led the hosts with 20 points and 5 assists with a help from his teammate Mathias Lessort. The 22-year-old French big guy finished the game with 11 points and only one miss from the field (5/6 for two) adding 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
The hosts built a comfortable lead after the first half 48-38 yet that didn’t scare the visitors as they managed to bounce back in the third quarter as they came close to 61-58.
Yet Igokea didn’t have enough energy for a complete comeback down the last stretch as Zvezda won the game 85-80.
Robert Rikic had a game-high 23 points for Igokea, but that didn’t cut it. With this loss, his team now fell to a 4-6 record.
Earlier today Zadar surprised Mega Basket on the road in a close match 73-71 and on Saturday NBA Draft prospect Dzana Musa led Cedevita to victory once again with 18 points in 26 minutes.
