Partizan defeated Cibona 80 – 69 after a tough game in Belgrade and they improved to a 9-8 record in the ABA League.
After scoring 18 (vs Zadar) and 25 points (vs Igokea) in the two previous games, Novica Velickovic paced Partizan once again, this time with an impressive double-double (23 points and 10 rebounds) performance. Marko Tomas had 22 points for the Croatians.
The game was close until the last quarter. Cibona was trailing by just 2 points (61 – 59) but an 11-2 run starting the fourth made it a double-digit game and Partizan closed the game.
Early today, Cedevita got the win over Mega Bemax 75 – 73 after coming back in the last quarter. Dzanan Musa led the winners in scoring with 14 points while Demetris Nichols added 13. Goga Bitadze’s 23 weren’t enough for the Serbians.
