Partizan beat Crvena Zvezda in the final of the Serbian Cup last week. After the game, a controversial video has emerged. The last four winners names were engraved on the trophy, but in the video, Crvena Zvezda’s name was removed.
Zvezda issued a press release on the matter and now Partizan’s former coach Dusko Vujosevic also expressed his view on the whole situation.
“It really bothers me that everyone speaks about the video and not about Partizan’s success. I was very happy that Partizan won the Cup. They were able to rise up despite a lot of problems and earn their trophy“, stated Vujosevic.
“What some person did in the video is a scandal, but that shouldn’t diminish Partizan’s great success. We shouldn’t forget when Zvezda’s fans stole and damaged the trophy back in 2014 without any punishment. When you don’t punish such incidents, they can be repeated easily“, concluded the well-respected coach.
