After losing Game 1 to Buducnost VOLI at home, Crvena Zvezda responded with a 69-59 win to tie up the series (1-1).
Game 2 of the finals was decided in the final minutes of the contest. James Feldeine, Alen Omic and Taylor Rochestie were connecting and leading this team to a critical victory. The free-throws down the stretch and Buducnost’s turnovers played a crucial role in the final result. With a minute left, the hosts had a safe eight-point lead (67-59), and the visitors could not respond.
Zvezda’s defense in the fourth quarter was the key to this win, as Dušan Alimpijević’s team allowed just 11 fourth-quarter points.
Alen Omic finished the game with 15 points, and nine rebounds, while Taylor Rochestie (11p. 5a.) and James Feldeine (9p. 5a.) also affected the game positively for the home side in the final quarter.
Early on, the contest was tied (31-31) as neither team could build an advantage. In the early third period, the visitors went up ahead by eight points (31-39), but the hosts responded (50-49).
