The 24-year-old Slovakian big man Michal Cekovsky and FMP Belgrade signed a three-year deal, the club announced.
Cekovsky already had an experience in Serbia when he was a part of Partizan Belgrade (2011-2013) where he was popularly called the “new Vesely” as he was supposed to replace current Fenerbahce player when the time came. That didn’t go as planned and Cekovsky decided to go overseas, to the US, where he played for the University of Maryland.
The 2,16 m tall center, who can also play as a power forward, averaged 6.4 points, three rebounds, and one block in 17 minutes per game last season.
