Crvena Zvezda grabbed the second victory in two games against Buducnost in the new season by prevailing 71 – 87 in Podgorica and made the 2/2 in ABA League. This win arrives few weeks after Red Star also beat the Montenegrin team in the ABA SuperCup final.
Stratos Perperoglou (20 points) and Maik Zirbes (19 points, six rebounds) led the winning squad that entered the match with a dynamic 13-22 and never looked back. Billy Baron added 15 points and six boards.
Former Crvena Zvezda center Alen Omic posted a double/double of 11 points and 10 rebounds for Buducnost. Nemanja Gordic had 11 points and six assists and Nikola Ivanovic scored 10. The reigning ABA League champions are now 1-1.
