Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade managed to stop FMP’s fourth-quarter comeback and win 81-72 on Day 5 of ABA League. This was Zvezda’s 21st win against FMP in all competitions.
Mouhammad Faye led the victors with 18 points and seven rebounds while Ognjen Dobric added 13 in addition to Stratos Perperoglou’s ten points. On the other side, Dragan Apic had a great night with game-high 22 points plus seven rebounds while Duop Reath helped with 15 points and eight boards.
Ever since Zvezda took the 7-5 lead in the third minute of the match, they didn’t let go of it. They were up by a 13-point margin at halftime (45-32) and although FMP managed to close the gap to just five points (67-62) midway through the last period, Zvezda quickly ‘took off’ once again and secured the win.
Crvena Zvezda stayed perfect at the top with 5-0 while FMP now has a 2-3 record.
