Buducnost wards off Petrol Olimpija – ABA Day 6 recap

Buducnost faced some ups and downs but in the end, overcame Petrol Olimpija for an 85-69 home win on Day 6 of ABA League.

Edwin Jackson and Alen Omic scored 11 points each for the victors while Nemanja Gordic recorded ten points and seven assists. On the other side, Drazen Bubnic scored 13 in addition to Luka Samanic’s 12 points.

Buducnost had a 22-8 lead in the first quarter which eventually improved to 45-23 at halftime. Olimpija managed to make a big comeback and decrease the deficit to just five points (58-53) but, after a few ups and downs, Buducnost eventually went ahead by a double-digit margin once again securing the game.

Buducnost holds the third place after this win with a 4-2 record while Olimpija has 2-4. Crvena Zvezda is at the top remaining the only undefeated team (6-0).

On Saturday (3/11), Andrea Trinchieri’s debut as the head coach of Partizan Belgrade was a success as they beat Mega Bemax on the road.
