Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade created the crucial big lead in the first half and it was enough for a 78-68 road win against Mega Bemax on Day 11 of ABA League.
Stratos Perperoglou led the winning side with 17 points in addition to Billy Baron’s 14 and Joe Ragland’s 13 points. For Mega, Goga Bitadze nailed game-high 23 while Branislav Ratkovica added 11 points.
Crvena Zvezda had a 20-15 lead after ten minutes but it was in the second quarter that they created the crucial difference going on the halftime rest with a 42-25 lead. They kept the distance after the break (64-47) and although Mega got closer in the final period (71-65) it was too late to change the outcome and the guests came out victorious.
Crvena Zvezda stayed perfect on the top of the standings with an 11-0 record while Mega now stands at 7-4.
