Crvena Zvezda hosted Buducnost – which parted ways with coach Aleksandar Dzikic – and recorded an 86-72 win on Day 13 of ABA League.
Stratos Perperoglou nailed game-high 23 points while Borisa Simanic added 14 in addition to Billy Baron’s 13 points. For Buducnost, Norris Cole scored 21 and Nemanja Gordic 14 points.
Crvena Zvezda created a double-digit advantage already after the first quarter (23-11) and went on the halftime rest with a 46-40 lead. Buducnost was better during the third quarter going ahead 63-55 but the hosts completely controlled the final period (23-7) and came out with a convincing win.
With this win, Crvena Zvezda improved to a perfect 13-0 record above Cedevita which follows with 9-4. Buducnost and Mega Bemax are behind with 8-5 while Olimpija, Zadar and Krka share a 4-9 record at the bottom.
