As it was expected, Sani Becirovic officially joined today the management of KK Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana.
While Croatian Davor Uzbinac will remain the GM of the club, a role that he had also in Cedevita, Becirovic is named sports director. Uzbinac will take care of the business aspect of the management with Becirovic being practically the head of basketball operations.
As Becirovic said: “To return to Ljubljana is to return home. I left as a child and I’m returning wiser. Richer with the experience of a European player, assistant coach, and mentor. The decision to accept the position of sports director was not really that difficult. Because I believe in the history of the club, I believe in this team and I believe that with my knowledge I will contribute to setting new milestones for regional basketball. Here we have a real chance to do something extraordinary”.
