Alex Abrines scored a season-high 18 points on 4/7 3-pointers in 21 minutes off the bench as Barcelona defeated Fuenlabrada 90 – 94 on the road to return to wins in the Spanish ACB League.
Fuenlabrada had fallen behind by 71 – 84 following a triple by Abrines three minutes into the fourth period until Marc Garcia scored 11 points out of his game-high 28 points in a row to cut the deficit to 86 – 88 and then 88 – 91 with 31 seconds left to play. Nikola Mirotic hit a key pair of free throws with the score 90 – 92 to secure the win of Barcelona.
Mirotic finished with 17 points plus seven rebounds while Malcolm Delaney dropped 15 points and Victor Claver posted 14 points and six rebounds. Cory Higgins contributed 10 points for Barcelona.
Alec Brown dropped 17 points for Fuenlabrada and Egidijus Mockevicius finished with 13 points and nine boards.
