Real Madrid made a 2-7 run in the last three minutes of the game against Baxi Manresa to escape with a 75 – 80 away win and returned to victories following back-to-back losses to Baskonia (for ACB) and Anadolu Efes (EuroLeague).
Thanks to this win, Real improved to 15-4 and caught up with Barcelona at the top of the standings. Manresa fell to 8-11.
Gabriel Deck posted a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds for Real. He also scored the go-ahead basket for the 73 – 74 with 45 seconds left after a pick n’ roll connection with fellow Argentinian player Facu Campazzo. The latter then hit 4/4 free throws in the remaining time to make his own points 13, while Manresa players failed to connect to the basket, save for two points by Aleks Cvetkovic from the stripe.
Juan Pablo Vaulet had 19 points and Dejan Kravish 13 points plus five rebounds for Manresa. Edy Tavares finished (10 points and 10 rebounds) while Jaycee Carroll (13 points) also stood out for the winning squad.
