Movistar Estudiantes announced that the team has been negotiating with Toney Douglas on the terms of contract termination and that the guard will not play the Saturday’s (29/2) Spanish League game against Casademont Zaragoza.
The 33-year-old American guard played 11 games for Estudiantes this season averaging 7.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes of play.
This has been Douglas’ third straight season in Europe while before that, he spent a season in China. For the first eight years of his career, he played in the NBA with the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies.
