Brandon Davies scored a game-high 24 points (also a season-high-tying performance) and grabbed five rebounds in 25:20 as Barcelona defeated Manresa 86 – 74 to improve its Spanish ACB League record to 18 – 4. This win keeps the Blaugrana at the top of the standings.
Manresa fell to 9-13 and remains two wins away from the playoff zone. Dejan Kravish had 15 points and Pere Thomas 13 for the losing side that was up 39 – 42 near the end of the first half but fell behind after the break.
Barcelona, that was without Malcolm Delaney, established a dominance in the game through the mid of the third period and onward to the fourth quarter. The hosts led up to 19 when Pierre Oriola made the 77-58 from the free-throw line with less than seven minutes to play.
Nikola Mirotic contributed 14 points for Barcelona.
