Retired player Nacho Azofra was discharged on Saturday one day after being admitted to the hospital for pneumonia, Movistar Estudiantes confirmed. He will continue recovering at home.
The team he spent nearly the entirety of his career closely monitored his situation with representatives at the Madrid hospital. His condition was not related to the coronavirus but raised concerns after being hospitalized.

The 50-year-old Spaniard played for Estudiantes between 1988 and 1993 and returned for a second stint from 1995 to 2006. He retired one year later following the 2006-07 season having played in 705 ACB games.
