FC Barcelona tipped off the ACB Final Four with a convincing 98-84 victory versus San Pablo Burgos on Sunday at Valencia. Up next, its 28th appearance in the final of the Spanish league.
With Svetislav Pesic balancing playing time in his attempt to avoid players’ fatigue, Nikola Mirotic led the way with 18 points in just over 17 minutes. The recently-crowned ACB MVP banked three shots beyond the arc.
Kyle Kuric knocked in four threes for 16 points. Brandon Davies and Victor Claver added ten points apiece. Thomas Heurtel threw in a 14-point, 11-assist double-double for good measure.
As for Burgos, Joan Penarroya’s side trailed all the way except for a couple of ties in the first half. Vitor Benite hooked a team-high 16 points.
The second semifinal saw KIROLBET Baskonia narrowly overcome host Valencia. The final will take place on Tuesday, June 30.
