Loyola Wildcats forward/center Santi Aldama has joined the practices of Spanish EuroCup club Gran Canaria in his native city of Las Palmas to prepare for the upcoming season.
Aldama, 19, comes off his freshman season with the Loyola Wildcats. Before moving to the USA to play college basketball, he was a player of Barcelona’s youth squads with which he participated in the 2017-2018 ANGT (Adidas Next Generation Tournament).
In 2019, Aldama was named MVP of the FIBA U18 European Championship after leading Spain to the gold medal.
