The scoring shows of Marc Garcia and Clevin Hannah opened Day 6 in the Spanish ACB League in a brilliant fashion.
Later down the road, Real Madrid played its postponed Day 6 game against Bilbao and managed to grab a win thanks to a late 8-0 run, improving their perfect record to nine.
Montakit Fuenlabrada – BAXI Manresa 100 – 102
Manresa had the mega-game of Marc Garcia (33 points, six rebounds) but it was Manresa that won this offensive battle on the road in overtime. Six players scored in double figures for the winning side, including Jonathan Tabu (16 points), Makai Mason (15 points) and Martynas Sajus (13 points, six boards).
Melo Trimble scored 20 for Fuenlabrada.
Morabanc Andorra – Hereda San Pablo Burgos 87 – 82
San Pablo Burgos came to the game vs. Andorra with seven straight wins (including their championship run in the Basketball Champions League Final 8). Enter Clevin Hannah and his 28 points thanks to which Andorra beat the 2020 BCL champs at home.
Haukur Paulson added 18 points and Tomasz Gielo 15 points and nine rebounds for Andorra. Thad McFadden led Burgos with 20 but shot 1-7 triples. Kevin Horton scored 14.
Monbus Obradoiro – Gipuzkoa 85 – 76
ACB September MVP Laurynas Birutis had 20 points and seven rebounds to lead Obradoiro to the victory over San Sebastian, the team’s fifth in six games this season. Kassius Robertson contributed 16 points to the winning effort.
Brandon Francis (13 points) and Dino Radoncic (12 points) led San Sebastian.
Iberostar Tenerife – Joventut Badalona 86 – 82
Five wins in five games? Why not. Tenerife has made its best start ever in ACB after the win over Badalona. Giorgi Shermadini scored a team-high 16 points, Bruno Fitipaldo had 14 points and five assists while Santi Rodriguez also posted 14 points. Marcelinho Huertas dropped 10 points, four assists and began this outstanding play…

Ante Tomic was everywhere for Badalona with 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.
Coosur Real Betis – Movistar Estudiantes 80-81
Third win in a row for the team based in Madrid. John Roberson put in the main contribution pouring a game-high 20 points.
The opposing side saw Terrance Campbell registering a team-high 15 points.
Zaragoza – Murcia 98-86
Zaragoza returned from a two-game losing streak to defeat Murcia at a high-paced game. Dylan Ennis led all scorers with 17 points, while DJ Seeley and Robin Benzing tapped 16 points apiece.
Conner Frankamp posted 20 points for Murcia, while Augusto Lima had 15 points and 8 boards.
Baskonia – Barcelona 82-71
Baskonia recovered from a two-game losing streak in the ACB and got the job done against Barcelona as Rokas Giedraitis led the team with 19 points. Achilles Polonara had 16 points and 8 boards, Luca Vildoza finished the game with 12 points and Zoran Dragic posted 11.
Barcelona’s Thomas Heurtel had 15 points and Brandon Davies tapped 10 points, while Nikola Mirotic remained sidelined.
Gran Canaria – Unicaja 80-84
Unicaja prevailed over Gran Canaria with a comeback in the second period to grab its second straight victory. Dario Brizuela paced the winners with 23 points, while Axel Bouteille had 13 points.
Matt Costello and Andrew Albicy tapped 18 points each for the hosts.
Bilbao – Real Madrid 83-85
Trey Thompkins scored 16 and Sergio Lull 14 for the winning side while Jaycee Carroll and Carlos Alocen added ten points each.
For Bilbao, Ondrej Balvin scored 18 in addition to Jaylon Brown’s 16 and Jonathan Rousselle’s 14 points.
