Walter Tavares logged a double-double as Real Madrid beat UCAM Murcia 98-87 in the Spanish League. The Whites improved to league-best 19-1 record while Murcia is no 8-12.
Tavares scored 16 points but also grabbed 15 rebounds which were a problem for Real Madrid throughout the game, and the main focus for Pablo Laso during a tense timeout.

Sergio Llull and Gabriel Deck scored 14 each. For Murcia, Nemanja Radovic banked in 24 points followed by Conner Frankamp with 20 and Jordan Davis with 18 points.
The hosts struggled early on and were done by eight points (48-40) near the halftime break but they turned the tables in the second half. Tavares’ presence was crucial as Real dominated the third quarter and bolstered a 16-point lead (73-57) from which Murcia couldn’t recover.
