Dzanan Musa aims for a fresh start at Rio Breogan. The ACB newcomer announced his addition on Wednesday. The Bosnian forward inked a one-year contract.
Musa, 22, following an uneventful run in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets, joined Anadolu Efes last January. He was limited to 12 appearances between the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and Turkey’s BSL and was released one month ago.
He was selected with the 29th overall pick of the 2018 NBA draft. The Nets signed him but he was unable to break out until a three-team trade moved him to the Detroit Pistons and eventually to him being waived in December 2020.
Prior to his NBA experience, he jumped out as a draft prospect with standout performances through the Bosnia and Herzegovina junior national teams and Cedevita at the club level. He made his way to ten EuroLeague matches and 26 appearances in the 7DAYS EuroCup with the Croatian team since merged with Olimpija Ljubljana.
