Breogan had total control over Barcelona for three quarters, though Sarunas Jasikevicius’ squad emerged with a 22-6 run in the fourth to seal a 74-72 victory on the road and improve to a 25-7 record in the Liga Endesa.
With 44 seconds to play and Breogan up by two points, Cory Higgins hit the jumper to give Barca its first lead of the game. Nicolas Laprovittola hit one of his awarded free throws to determine the final result and the visitors grabbed their third consecutive win.
Alex Abrines scored 12 points along with 3 rebounds for Barca, Brandon Davies followed with 11 points and 8 rebounds and Higgins tapped 8 points and 4 rebounds.
Breogan’s Rasid Mahalbasic and Sergi Quintela added 11 points each, as the team dropped to a 15-17 record.
Earlier on Saturday, Baskonia punched its ticket to the Liga Endesa playoffs with a 91-59 blowout victory over Zaragoza. Simone Fontecchio scored 19 points, along with six rebounds and four assists to pace Baskonia, Steven Enoch and Matthew Costello both added 15 points and Rokas Giedraitis posted 14 points. Sean Kilpatrick scored 11 points along with three rebounds for Zaragoza which dropped its second game in a row to fall to an 11-21 record.
