Surne Bilbao Basket announced Friday that they have signed shooting guard Andrew Goudelock to a 1+1 contract extension, following his great impact on the team upon his arrival in the previous offseason.
Goudelock, 33, has been a key in Alex Mumbru’s rotation, posting an average of 14.3 points per game on 38.5% from the three-point line, ranking third-best in most points scored in the Spanish Liga Endesa for the 2021-22 season.
The former Lakers and Rockets player landed in Bilbao in the summer of 2021 for his first campaign in Spain, following a season with Rytas Vilnius.
Across his 11-year career, Goudelock has accumulated experience in the NBA, Russia (UNICS), Turkey (Fenerbahce), Israel (Maccabi), Italy (Olimpia Milano, Reyer Venezia), as well as the Chinese League with Xinjiang Flying Tigers and Shandong Golden Stars.
A 2014 EuroCup champion with UNICS, Goudelock has quickly developed into a staple in European basketball and a fan favorite.
“He has a lot of experience and assumes responsibility in the hot moments of the games. We are very pleased that he believes in our project and continues with us next season”, said Bilbao sports director Rafa Pueyo.
