Joventut Badalona stuck back against Barcelona in the Spanish Liga Endesa semifinals, grabbing an 87-81 road win and tying the best-of-five series at 1-1.
Ante Tomic was at the core of Joventut’s effort, but it was Joel Parra and Simon Birgander that sparked the crucial 14-2 run at the start of the second half, which propelled the winning side to a comfortable distance (56-44) that decided the outcome.
Tomic finished with game-high 24 points on 10-13 shooting in a bit over 21 minutes played while Andres Feliz had 12 and Ferran Bassas 13 points. Parra scored ten and Birgander six points.
For Barca, Nick Calathes logged 15 (six assists, six boards) followed by Dante Exum with 12 and Nikola Mirotic with 11 points. Alex Abrines also scored 11 while Sertac Sanli had eight points and ten rebounds.
