Barcelona qualified on Friday night for the Liga Endesa finals after an intense game, but things did not end on the court.
During the press conference, Joventut Badalona Carles Duran harshly criticized Sarunas Jasikevicius, because according to the Catalan coach, the Lithuanian “does not value us”.
As Duran said: “He only talks about his team and him, his team and him. Just as we value them and think that they are wonderful and that they have shown that they are better than us, he has disrespected us. To be honest? He is rude. But hey, he doesn’t respect us, all good. We will try again.”
It is not clear what could have happened for Duran to speak in this way about his counterpart on the Barça bench, but it seems that the future local derbies between Barcelona and Joventut just became even more interesting.
