Five players scored in double figures for Real Madrid as the team crushed UCAM Murcia 93 – 57 in a Spanish League match and just before the double-game EuroLeague week.
Vincent Poirier led Real with 19 points, two days after also scoring 19 in a EuroLeague win over ALBA Berlin. Dzanan Musa contributed 14 points plus five rebounds, Alberto Abalde dropped 12 points, Edy Tavares posted 10 points plus six boards and Petr Cornelie had 10 points.
Real went off to a 27 – 9 start and the game development allowed Blancos coach Chus Mateo to use a big rotation. Only three of his guys played for more than 20 minutes and it was 18-year-old Eli Ndiaye (one point, five rebounds, two blocks) who spent the most time (23:42) on the court.
Murcia fell behind 52 – 22 at halftime and never managed to even make an attempt for a comeback. Ilmane Diop stood out with 11 points plus five rebounds.
